    ACROTECH WOOD PATTERN OVENS

    Sheets & Flat Panels
    Specializing in medium to large quantity production, our system allows us to decorate both sheets and flat panels, up to 8’ x 4’.
    This process allows a aesthetic appeal of wood paneling, while providing increased durability and the fire retardant properties of steel or aluminum.
    Extrusions
    Our system is not just limited to flat panels. Designed with an architectural and commercial market in mind, we are able to decorate extrusions up to 7.0 meters long.
    The malleability of the film applied during our process makes it perfect to decorate extrusions with complex shapes such as soffits, railings, siding, decking, fencing, cladding and privacy screens.
    Natural Wood Finish without Time Consuming Maintenance & Expense
    Sublimation is the art of imprinting a specially painted product with a wood grain, marble tone, or a number of other decorative finishes, through a sublimatic film. The inks from our films are heat transferred into the powder coated base color, providing a long lasting a extremely durable finish.
    The sublimation process allows for the beauty and warmth of wood, without the time consuming maintenance, and expense, associated with using natural wood. Our incredibly detailed finishes also provide an environmentally friendly alternative to using real wood.

    As aesthetic values evolve, wood grain effect finishing is now becoming more and more popular in the fields of architectural decoration, furniture, electronics and home appliances. Wood grain effect finishing is a special powder coating process based on the latest technology in the surface finishing.

    The wood grain finished aluminum profile is a perfect integration of the excellent aluminum properties with the natural appearance of natural resources such as wood, marble, etc. It is a wonderful combination of the state-of-the-art technology and aesthetics. The products have stable quality, appealing appearance and therefore a higher value of decoration

    All metals can be decorated, but aluminum and steel are the most common. Metals can be molded, machined or shaped even after the wood grain coating is applied. The wood grain metal and aluminum finish are so realistic that it’s almost indistinguishable from real wood, even from a close visual inspection.

    Phases of Sublımatıon Process

    01.
    Material must be processed in a standard coating unit using a special Polyurethane powder coating. Coating process consists of three different stages: pre-treatment, powder spraying, curing. This layer allows special heat-transfer inks to be transferred.
    02.
    Powder coating the object with a special polyurethane powder, the powder is the layer coating (ground) which will then receive the sublimation inks.
    03.
    After cooling down from coating, the object is then wrapped with Acrotech Heat-Transfer film. Air will be vacuumed from inside in order to make the film perfectly adhere to the object.
    04.
    Cover the object with the Sublimatic Film; apply perfectly the film all over the surfaces to be decorated.
    05.
    Film-Wrapped and vacuumed objects are then moved and cured in a special Acrotech Oven, running at high temperatures (between 200°C and 230°C), where inks contained in the Film are transferred by Sublimation into the Coating layer of the objects.
    06.
    The Wrapped object is then placed in a high temperature Acrotech Oven where, by Sublimation, special inks are transferred from the Heat-transfer Film into the coating layer.
    07.
    After curing, it is ejected from the oven and the exhausted film easily removed.
    08.
    After the curing time, pull out the object from the oven and remove the film (carrier) now devoid of decoration’s inks.The object is now fully decorated and ready for being delivered to other working stations (e.g. cutting assembly for windows and doors) or packaging units.
